Local governments and state agencies soon will have access to SAO’s SecureShare—a safe, simple tool for exchanging data during audits.
SAO developed SecureShare after consultation with Washington Technology Solutions (WaTech), the state’s IT agency. Our programmers and technicians then worked with Microsoft to develop SecureShare, a customized application built on trusted, reliable technology.
“This new tool reflects our dedication to modern work practices and commitment to efficient use of government resources,” said State Auditor Pat McCarthy. “Working with Microsoft to build SecureShare on a platform many governments use regularly has put us in an excellent position to provide fast, meaningful customer service to our audit clients.”
During the next weeks and months, SAO will phase in this new tool. Audit clients will receive individualized email invitations. Clients with questions about SAO’s SecureShare should contact their audit team.
