If you haven't checked out the Financial Intelligence Tool (FIT) for a while, new information is available to you! We refresh FIT data quarterly to capture updated and newly filed local government data.

The “baseline” data snapshot captures each year's financial data after the May annual filing deadline. We published the 2019 baseline snapshot on August 2 this year, and we plan on a June release date next year. Subsequent snapshots occur near the end of September, December, and March to update FIT for additional annual filing submissions. The 2019 baseline snapshot included the data from 1,755 local governments, and that number increased to 1,779 in September.

To access this new snapshot data, use the upper-right-corner dropdown menu and select the newest release titled 2019 Filing Milestone Snapshot (revised September 30, 2020).
