While talking with community members in Kitsap County recently, State Auditor Pat McCarthy was asked, “Where does the State Auditor’s Office money come from, and where does it go?”
It’s a great question, and Pat said we should make it easier for anyone in Washington to find the answer. So here it is, a simple explanation of our $47.1 million budget for 2018. Because transparency is a core value for SAO, we also post online the results of audits our Office receives and our Annual Report on what we do.
