We want to hear from you: Take our public awareness survey today
May 4, 2026
If you're like most Washington residents, you might not be sure what the State Auditor's Office does, or you might associate "auditor" with tax season. That's understandable, and it's exactly why we're conducting this survey. Share your perspective, it takes approximately 10 minutes and no prior knowledge of our Office is needed.
What is this?
A short, anonymous survey open for a limited time to all Washington residents age 18 and older. We want to understand what matters most to you in your community, how you engage with government, and how we can communicate more clearly about our work and its impact on your daily life.
Why are we doing this?
Our office audits every level of government in Washington, cities, counties, school districts, state agencies, and more. We know there's a gap between the work we do and how well the public understands it. This survey is our way of listening, so we can do better in sharing about the work of our Office.
Is it anonymous?
Yes. We are not collecting your name or any information that could identify you. All responses will be combined and reported as a group. No individual answers will be shared.
Do I need to know anything about the Auditor's Office to take it?
No. In fact, we especially want to hear from people who aren't familiar with our work. Your honest perspective, whatever it is, helps us understand where we need to improve.
How do I participate?
