You’re invited to SAO’s virtual Performance Audit Workshop on Feb. 25!

Jan 27, 2022

SAO's Performance Audit team has more than 30 staff members who combine their unique professional and educational backgrounds to develop innovative approaches to helping Washington's government programs become more efficient and effective. Since 2005, our Performance Audit team has examined a variety of issues like workplace culture, student behavioral health prevention and intervention, bail practices, and IT security.

To help give the public a sense of what a career in performance auditing looks like, SAO is hosting its annual virtual Performance Audit Workshop on Friday, Feb. 25 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. During the workshop, participants will hear from some of our staff about their experience as performance auditors, including the skills they bring to their work. Participants will also have the opportunity to get some hands-on experience with performance auditing through a case study examining the factors that lead to rejected voter ballots. Whether you're interested in learning about the day in the life of a performance auditor or hoping to learn about SAO's hiring process, we encourage participants to bring any questions they have for our staff!

Register for this no-cost workshop at https://bit.ly/PerformanceAuditWorkshop22. The deadline to register is Monday, Feb. 21. All are welcome to attend!

If you have any questions about the workshop, please email performance auditor Jolene Stanislowski at Jolene.Stanislowski@sao.wa.gov.
