A new school year
FIT is an easy way to explore the financial data of more than 2,200 Washington governments. Fiscal year 2025 financial data, reported by school districts, has made its way into the tool. This makes five total years of data that you can view for any of Washington’s 295 school districts.
Many ways to explore school district data in FIT
Five years of school district data is exciting enough, and it gets even better when FIT makes it easy to digest. FIT allows you to view school district data:
- By Individual Governments – data presented for a single school district, including its revenues, expenditures and where it sits amongst other school districts, as well as helpful measurements of financial health.
- By Government Type – data on all school districts statewide showing how much money they collected and spent in the past five years.
- By Dollars – the way to view school activity by types of revenue or expenditures. For example, you can view the property taxes schools collected, ranked by how much each district collected.
- By Financial Health – a complete list of school districts and indicators of financial health, aimed at helping districts understand where they may need to focus.
